We had made a snap decision to put a new floor in the family room and kitchen which flows into the laundry so we were pretty much forced to get the laundry done at the same time. I had visions of built in cabinetry and a porcelain sink but with one week to get it all sorted ready for installation that was not going to happen. I ended up buying a new laundry tub almost the same as what was there (I searched high and low for a ready made laundry tub a little different, there was NOTHING!) and did an expensive mixer instead to jazz it up! I made and installed a cupboard at the end of the toilet room which fit like a glove, so lucky! another unit to hold the dirty washing, a drying rack, hooks, a new roman blind and made a cute little curtain to hide some unsightly taps and things! Oh and I painted the toilet with chalkboard paint for a bit of fun!
Before... terrible
and after... pretty
A large Ikea shoe cabinet to hold the dirty laundry...
my handy work, I love a little grey gingham!
below is my view from the kitchen, I am still to fit the sliding door...
I am so glad I have finished the interior of the house... looking forward to a spring/summer of making over the outside now, but until then I might just enjoy what I've done!

ReplyDeleteThe colour on my walls is dulux 'grey pebble'. A great colour... I tried a lot of grey/browns and this just seemed to go with everything!!
